ALTO LITE

We are located in the Tawa Wala Building, specifically Office No. 28 on the second floor. If you know Lohar Chawl, you know it’s one of the busiest spots you can find. It’s a maze of shops and offices, and we are right in the middle of all that noise and energy. Being an electrical and lighting business called ALTO LITE, we fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood. The building is old, and the stairs are narrow, but it’s got a lot of character. We spend our days dealing with different types of lights and parts. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a specific bulb or a fitting. The space is pretty packed with boxes, so we have to be careful where we step. It gets quite humid in Mumbai, and the fans in the office are always going. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or a marketing team; it’s just us answering the phones and helping the people who walk through the door. The area is famous for this kind of work, so we feel like we are in the right place. Every morning starts with opening up the shutters and seeing what the day brings. It’s a lot of manual work, checking stock and making sure the orders are correct before they go out into the narrow streets of Lohar Chawl. It is a bit chaotic but we are used to it.
