Down at Plot No. A-7 in the MIDC Phase II area of Dombivili, that’s where Aloke Alloys is. It’s a proper industrial zone. If you’re not used to it, the heat and the noise might be a bit much, but for us, it’s just another Tuesday. We spend our time dealing with alloys, so the environment is exactly what you’d expect for that kind of work. It’s heavy, it’s hot, and it’s usually pretty dirty by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this plot for a good number of years. The MIDC area in Dombivili is massive, and sometimes it feels like a maze of pipes and warehouses. We know our neighbors and we all deal with the same issues, like when the power acts up or the monsoon rains flood the low spots on the road. We aren’t really the type to sit in air-conditioned offices all day. Most of us are out where the actual work happens. There’s a certain rhythm to the machinery that you get used to after a while. We don’t have any fancy marketing people telling us what to say. We just make sure the products are made correctly and sent out on time. It’s a straightforward life here. You won’t find any polished floors or glass walls. Just steel, concrete, and people who know how to work with their hands and get things done.
