Al Plast

Al Plast is located at 317/348 in the Pragati Industrial Estate, right on N.M. Joshi Marg in Lower Parel East. Being in Lower Parel means we are surrounded by a mix of the old Mumbai and the new high-rises. Our industrial estate is one of those older places that has been around forever. The stairs are a bit steep and the hallways can be dark, but it has a lot of character. We’ve been operating out of this unit for years now. The space is filled with the smell of plastic and the steady hum of our machines. It’s not a large area, so we have to be very careful about how we stack our materials to make sure there is enough room for everyone to move around. Outside on the street, it’s always crowded with commuters and cars, especially being so close to the station. We usually hear the trains passing by in the distance while we work. The staff mostly takes their lunch breaks together, sitting on whatever crates are available in the back. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a high-tech office to show people. It’s just a place where we process our orders and try to keep up with the daily demands. It’s a tough, busy part of the city, but we like being in the middle of all that energy.
