Ajit Transport Company

Our office is tucked away in B/003 at Country Park on Dattapada Road. We are located right opposite the big Tata Steel plant in Borivali East. It is a very noisy part of town because of all the heavy traffic and the constant activity at the steel works, but that works out fine for a transport company. We spend a lot of our time looking out at the road, watching the trucks go by and keeping track of the various schedules. The office itself is small and functional. We have a few mismatched chairs for drivers to sit in while they wait for their papers and a desk that is usually covered in logs and crumpled receipts. We do not put much stock in having a polished look; we just need the phones to work and the vehicles to stay on the move. Living and working in Borivali means you get used to the constant hum of the city. We start quite early in the morning because the transport business never really sleeps. Someone is usually here late into the night too, making sure the last deliveries of the day are accounted for. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, coordinating between different places and making sure the fuel is topped up. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there, just the one that stays steady and keeps things moving without too much fuss.
