Ajit Brush Industries

Our workshop is tucked away in Nityanand Nagar, over on the Hingwala Plot. It’s right near the Link Road in Ghatkopar West, so it’s easy to get to if you know the area. Ajit Brush Industries is a family-run kind of place. We make all sorts of brushes for different uses. It’s dusty work, and there’s always bits of fiber and wood everywhere, but that’s what a real factory looks like. We’ve been at 10/32A for quite a few years now. The machines are old but they still work great if you treat them right and keep them oiled. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just make the brushes and people come to buy them because they know they’ll last. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late to finish the assembly. We’re just regular people who know a lot about brushes. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just manual labor and making sure the glue holds and the bristles stay put. The neighborhood knows us well, and we like being part of the local community here in Ghatkopar. It’s not a shiny new building, but it’s ours and it’s where we do our work every day. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving. Making things by hand takes time, and we are okay with that.
