Ajanta Offset Works

Down in the Ghaswala Compound on Arthur Road, you’ll find Ajanta Offset Works. We are at number 493, not far from Tardeo Circle. It’s an old industrial area, and our shop fits right in. We’ve got the heavy printing presses that make a lot of noise when they get going. If you come by during a big job, you can feel the floor vibrate a little. I’ve been working with these machines for a long time, and I know all their quirks. Sometimes they get jammed or a roller needs fixing, and I’ve got ink under my fingernails most of the time. We do all kinds of offset printing for people in the neighborhood and businesses across the city. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, with all the paper dust and ink cans lying around, but we get the work done. The office part of the shop is just a small desk in the corner with a lamp and a landline phone that’s seen better days. We don't have a marketing team or a social media page. People find us because their fathers or grandfathers used to get their printing done here. We try to keep things simple. You bring us a design, we put it on paper. It takes time to get the colors just right, but we don't rush it. It's honest work, and we like being part of the Tardeo business community. It's just what we do.
