Air India Cargo Csi Air Port Mumbai

The name says Air Port, but our actual desk is over in Bhandup Sonapur West. Specifically, we are at New Mohammadi Manzil in Tilak Nagar. It is a bit of a drive to the actual runways from here, but this is where the planning happens for Air India Cargo. Mumbai is always moving, and we are just a small part of that movement. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding boxes and heavy things that fly on planes. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of the road work outside, but we just keep the computers running. The address is 1/2 on the ground floor area. It’s a simple place. No big signs or flashing lights. We mostly talk to drivers and other agents all day long. Some of us have been here for years and know every pothole on the way to Sonapur. We don't try to sound like a big corporate office because we aren't. We are just local staff trying to get the cargo moving without too many headaches. It gets hot in the summer, and the monsoon rains sometimes leak near the window, but the work never really stops. We handle the cargo details and make sure the labels are right. It’s practical work. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a bunch of guys in a room in Mumbai.
