Working out of Abdul Rehman Street is always an experience, mostly because of how narrow the lanes are and how many people are constantly moving around. If you’ve ever been to Metro Market, you know it’s a bit of a squeeze getting through the crowds with all the handcarts. We are located at number 6-A, up on the third floor of building 313. Ahera Enterprises isn’t a very big office, but we manage to get everything done in the space we have. The stairs are quite steep, so we all have pretty strong legs by now from going up and down. It’s noisy outside with all the vendors and people shouting, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit quieter. We usually have boxes stacked in the corner, waiting for the courier to pick them up in the afternoon. Sometimes the electricity goes off for an hour, and we just sit there and talk until it comes back on. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with glass walls or anything like that. We have some old wooden desks and a computer that takes forever to start up in the morning. I’ve been working here for a few years now, and the guys are all decent enough. We just do our work and try to get home before the evening rush becomes too much to handle. It’s a busy life in this part of the city, but it keeps us on our toes every single day.
