Our operations are based at W 288 in the Rabale Midc area, which is part of the TTC Industrial belt. It is a very industrial setting with lots of factories and warehouses all around us. Advent Chembio Pvt.Ltd. has been here for a while now, and we have gotten used to the noise of the machinery and the trucks moving in and out of the gates. The air often smells like chemicals or rain, depending on the day. We have a lab area and an office section, and both stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. It is not the kind of place where you wear a suit; we mostly wear practical clothes that can get a bit dirty. The building is a big concrete structure that keeps the heat out fairly well. We spend a lot of time testing things and writing down the results in our logbooks. Lunch is usually a quick affair in the small break area we have set up near the back. The roads in the MIDC can be a bit bumpy, especially after the heavy rains. We have a small team of technicians and office staff who have worked together for years. We don't do much in the way of advertising; we just fulfill the contracts we have and make sure things are what they need to be. It is a lot of hard work in a dusty part of town, but it is what we know. We close the gates late most nights.
