Advanced Video Lab

Advanced Video Lab is based in Modi Bhavan on Pandita Ramabhai Road in Gamdevi. We are at number 19th. This is an old part of the city and the building has a lot of character. We have been doing video work here for a long time. The lab is filled with various pieces of equipment, some new and some quite old. We handle all sorts of video-related tasks. It is often dark in some rooms so we can see the monitors better. We are not a flashy studio with a lounge. We have workbenches, cables everywhere, and a lot of tapes and discs. Gamdevi is a nice neighborhood to work in. It is a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs. We have regulars who have been coming to us for decades to get their videos sorted out. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend hours fixing it. It is just part of the job. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know their way around a video signal. We spend most of our day focused on the screens. If you walk down Pandita Ramabhai Road, you might miss us if you aren't looking for the sign on Modi Bhavan. We like it that way. It is a quiet, honest business. There is always a lot of work to do, but we enjoy the process.
