You can find us at the Span Centre, rooms 405 and 406. It’s right on Ram Krishna Mission Marg in Santacruz West. Getting here in the morning is always a bit of a struggle because of the Mumbai traffic, but we manage. Advance Reinforced Plastics has been our daily life for quite a while. The office is usually filled with the smell of resin and various plastic samples. We have shelves full of different molds and bits of fiberglass. It’s a bit cramped with all the files, but it’s our space. We have a small team here. Most of us have known each other for years. We eat lunch together at our desks most days. There is a small window that looks out over the street, and it’s a good spot to watch the rain during the monsoon. We handle a lot of orders for industrial parts. It involves a lot of phone calls and checking on the production schedules. The elevator in this building is one of those old ones that shakes a little, so we tend to hold our breath until it stops. We don’t go in for anything flashy. We just make sure the plastic parts are right and the shipments go out on time. Sometimes the courier is late, and that causes a bit of a headache. It is just the usual rhythm of a small business in the city. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for the afternoon slump.
