Down on Cadel Road in Mahim West, we run our sign and display business from number 38. It’s a lively part of the city, and being here keeps us close to everything. We spend our days dealing with boards, letters, and various display materials. The shop can get a bit cluttered with offcuts and samples, but we know where everything is. You won't find people in suits in this building. We’re usually covered in a bit of dust or ink, depending on what project is on the table that morning. Making signs is a hands-on job, so there’s always something being cut or glued or measured. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and the locals around Mahim know us as the place to go when they need something visible for their own shops. Sometimes the sea breeze from the coast nearby is nice, but mostly the task at hand takes up our focus. We use a lot of different materials, and trying to keep the inventory organized is a constant battle. It’s a simple operation, really. We take the requirements, look at the measurements, and get to work. There’s no big philosophy behind it; we just like making things that look right and stand up straight. People drop by, we talk about what they need, and we figure out a way to build it. It’s honest work in a busy neighborhood.
