Adamji Lookmanji & Co.

Our office is in Rahimtoola House on Homji Street, right at number 7. It’s one of those older buildings in a part of the city that has seen a lot of history. The stairs are a bit narrow and the ceilings are high. Adamji Lookmanji & Co. has been around for quite a while, and the office definitely shows it. We have heavy wooden desks and old filing cabinets that have been there since before I started. It’s a quiet place compared to the street outside. We deal with a lot of paperwork and traditional business stuff. There isn't any modern open-plan layout here; it’s just rooms filled with ledgers and people who have worked here for decades. We get the morning sun through the windows, which is nice. The neighborhood is full of other old businesses, and we all kind of know each other. We don’t do any big advertising or have a fancy website. People know where to find us on Homji Street. Sometimes the fans creak a little, but they keep the air moving. It’s a very steady, predictable kind of place. We come in, do our work, and head home. It feels like a piece of the old city that hasn't changed much while everything else around us got faster and louder. There is a small crack in the window glass that we’ve taped up, but it works fine.
