Our office is in the Sardar Griha Building, number 210-A, at 198 L.T. Marg. Being near Crawford Market means it is always a bit of a scramble to get through the crowds. The building itself is old and has a lot of character, with high ceilings and those big old windows. We are up on the second floor. It’s a busy place with people coming and going all the time. We spend our hours mostly on the phone or dealing with the logistics of the plastic goods we handle. It’s a lot of talk about schedules and quantities. The office is a bit cluttered with samples and files, but we manage to find what we need eventually. We don't have a big corporate lobby. You just walk down the hallway and find our door. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need many rules. We just get the job done. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to take the stairs, which is quite a workout. We usually grab lunch from one of the stalls downstairs. It’s a noisy, hectic part of Mumbai to work in, but we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office park. We like the energy of the market nearby. It keeps us moving. Every day is different even if the work feels the same.
