A.C.E. Neons

We are located over in Goregaon West, specifically at No.73/582 in Siddharth Nagar. Being on 14th Road means we’re tucked away a bit, but most people find us because we’re near the Nirlon Swimming Pool. At A.C.E. Neons, we spend a lot of time around heat and glass. It’s a bit of a craft, really, bending those tubes and making sure the gas is right so the glow looks decent. The workshop gets hot, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with new buildings popping up, but we’ve stayed right here. It’s a messy place sometimes, with wires and transformers and scraps of metal lying around on the benches. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area for people. Usually, someone just walks in from the street and asks if we can fix an old sign or make something new for their shop. We talk about what’s possible and what isn't. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late. Sometimes we’re out on a ladder installing things, and other times we’re just here testing out a transformer that’s acting up. It’s not a glamorous job, but seeing a sign light up for the first time is always a bit satisfying after all the bending and soldering is finally finished.
