Working out of 612 in Dalamal Towers is quite something because of the location in Nariman Point. It is a busy part of the city, and you can always hear the traffic down below. Our office isn’t the biggest one in the building, but it fits all the desks we need for the building systems work we do at Abaqs. The elevators in the morning are always a bit of a wait, so most of us try to get in early or just accept the delay. Inside, there are stacks of folders and some drawings spread out on the bigger tables. The company is basically just a group of us sitting around computers or talking on the phone with site managers. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe some old posters that have been there for years. The air conditioning sometimes gets a bit too cold in the afternoon, so everyone keeps a sweater at their desk. We go down to the local stalls for lunch because the food inside the towers is usually overpriced. It’s a lot of coordination and checking on technical details every day. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we all just sit around complaining about it for a few minutes before getting back to work. It’s a regular office life with a lot of paperwork and constant phone calls. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and know the security guards by name.
