If you go down Dharavi Bus Depot Road, right across from the Maharashtra Nature Park, you’ll find us at Shop No. 18. It’s a busy area in Shatabdi Nagar, and there’s always a lot of movement from the bus depot nearby. Our shop is quite small, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got shelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling, filled with all sorts of items we’ve collected over time. It can get pretty hot in here during the summer months, even with the small desk fan blowing at full speed. I usually keep the door wide open to catch any breeze from the park across the street. People come in and out all day long. Some are just passing through, and others are regulars who live just a few streets away. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a simple counter and some chairs that have seen better days. I do most of the paperwork by hand because it’s just easier that way for me. We don't put on any acts here; we’re just honest people trying to make a living and help out the folks who walk through our door. Sometimes the noise from the buses makes it hard to hear, so we have to speak up. It’s just part of being in this neighborhood. Aask Enterprises has been here for a while and we don't plan on moving anywhere else soon.
