Aammazing Beads

Aammazing Beads is located in Govandi, in the S H Layout area at Kaval Byrasandra. Our shop is number 7 on Plot 36, along the main road. It’s a small place, but it’s packed with thousands of tiny things. When you work with beads, you get used to finding them in your shoes and pockets at the end of the day. They get everywhere. We spend hours sorting them by size and color into little plastic bins. It’s quiet work, and it requires a lot of patience. Most of our customers are local people who enjoy making things by hand. We recognize almost everyone who walks through the door. The shop has a bit of a cramped feel because we have so many different types of beads on display. We use old wooden counters that have been worn smooth over the years. We don't have any fancy lighting or displays. It’s just rows and rows of containers. Sometimes we sit in the back and string things together when it’s a slow afternoon. The road outside is always noisy with buses and bikes, but inside it’s usually pretty calm. We don't do any big advertising. People just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a friend. It’s a nice little business to run. We usually keep the fans on full blast because the shop gets very hot in the summer.
