A S B Tailors

A S B Tailors is located in the Haji Building, right over at Byculla Kemps Corner. It’s a spot that’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but we’ve been here quite a while. Inside, you’ll mostly see rolls of cloth and sewing machines. Usually, there is a bit of thread on the floor and the sound of the machines running in the background. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just us working with our hands. People come in to get things fixed or made from scratch. Most of the day is spent measuring and cutting. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on the small details. Because the light in the building isn't always the best, we have extra lamps at each station to help us see better. The Haji Building has its own history, and being part of it feels right for a small shop like ours. Our regulars have been coming to us for years. They know how we work and they don't expect anything flashy. We just take the fabric and do our best with it. It is just the work we do and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. With a pile of clothes always waiting to be finished, we don’t have much time for idle chat. Keeping the needles moving is the main goal. It is a simple life here in Byculla and we like it that way. We just keep sewing until the sun goes down.
