3M India is located in the Raheja Paramount building at 138 Residency Road. It is a busy spot in a very crowded part of the city. Unlike the manufacturing plants, this is more of an office environment, but it still feels pretty grounded. There are boxes of tape and adhesives sitting in the corners and samples of different materials scattered on the desks. Residency Road is always full of traffic, so you can hear the horns honking from the windows all day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. It is not as gritty as a shop floor, but there is still a lot of hustle. People are constantly coming in and out of the Raheja Paramount building for meetings or to drop off packages. We don’t have a polished corporate vibe here; it’s more like a group of people trying to keep track of a thousand different products. There are stacks of catalogs and rolls of industrial tape everywhere you look. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It is a fast-paced place where we are just trying to get things out to the customers on time. The office has a lot of windows but we are usually too busy to look out at the street. It’s a practical workspace for a team that handles a lot of different supplies every day.
