Jayesh here. I run 300dpix Jayesh Yewale Photography over in Kalyan. It’s mostly just me and sometimes a couple of others helping out when things get busy during the local wedding season. I started this because I always liked taking pictures, but now it is more about keeping up with all the memory cards and making sure the lighting is right. We spend a lot of time traveling around the local area, carrying heavy bags and trying to get people to stand still for a minute. Most days you’ll find me at the desk going through thousands of files or making sure the batteries are charged for the next morning. Kalyan is a big place and there is always something going on that needs a camera. Sometimes the weather is too hot for outdoor shots, but we make it work somehow. It’s not fancy work, really. It is mostly just about being there at the right time. I’ve lived here for a long time, so I know most of the good spots for a decent backdrop. People stop by to ask about prices or just to see if I’m free on a Saturday. If the shop is closed, I’m probably out at a venue or getting prints done. It’s a lot of sitting and a lot of standing, depending on the day. We don't have a big corporate team, just a small office with my gear spread out everywhere. It gets a bit messy but I know where everything is.
