We are located in Thakur Village, which is a pretty lively area of Kandivali East. Specifically, Yuvi Raj Handloom is in the Rakhee Vasant Utsav Complex. Our door is D-104. It’s easy to find because we are right near the HDFC Bank branch, which is a bit of a landmark for people coming into the complex. The atmosphere here is a mix of a residential neighborhood and a small business hub. Since we deal with handlooms and fashion fabrics, there is always a lot of color around the office. We don’t have a massive warehouse, just this unit where we keep our best samples and handle the daily administration. The Vasant Utsav area is usually buzzing with people out for a walk or running errands at the bank. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the inner roads, but we manage. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves full of hand-woven materials and a couple of desks. We don’t go for anything fancy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the fabric orders to worry about that right now. It’s a family-style environment where everyone chips in. If you stop by, you’ll probably see us sorting through new arrivals from the weavers or packing up bundles for local clients. It’s just how we do things here in Kandivali. Anyway, that’s where you will find us most days of the week.
