Yomo Designs and Fabrics Private Limited is tucked away in Borivali, right in the Divya Deep CHS building. We are in Wing B, room 203. Being near Vazira Naka and Pranay Nagar means we are in the middle of a very lively part of Mumbai. If you walk by, you’ll hear the sounds of the city and see plenty of people moving around TPS III. Our space is usually filled with rolls of fabric and sketches. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes with all the material, but we make it work. We aren't a high-end fashion house with a runway; we are a design firm that deals with the real stuff. We spend hours looking at textures and colors, trying to decide what looks right. The Plot No 381 area is always congested, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a headache. But that’s just part of being in Borivali. Our team is small, and we mostly just talk about designs and how to get the fabrics to look the way we want. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just work with cloth and try to make something that people will actually want to wear or use. It’s a lot of measuring, cutting, and re-checking. We stay busy from morning until evening in our little Mumbai office dealing with the daily grind.
