We set up shop in the Poseidon Apartments, specifically B-205 on Panch Marg. It’s right off Yari Road in the Versova area of Andheri West. Being near Seven Bunglows is nice, though the traffic can be a nightmare in the evenings. Yantraa Exim India is what we call ourselves, and we mostly deal with import and export stuff from this small office. It’s a residential-style building, so it feels a bit more like home than a cold office block. We’ve got our computers set up and enough space for the files we need. It’s not a huge operation, just a dedicated group of us making sure things move from point A to point B. The air in Versova feels a bit different being so close to the water, which is a nice change of pace. We don’t really have any corporate slogans or big meetings. We just talk across the room to get things sorted. Most days involve a lot of calls to shipping agents and checking on customs. It can get stressful when things are delayed, but that is the nature of this trade. We just keep our heads down and work through the pile of work on our desks. It’s a simple setup, very honest and without any fluff. We’re just local people doing business in a part of Mumbai we like. No grand plans, just moving goods and checking the boxes as we go.
