You can find Yaat Building Engineering Solutions Private Limited way up on the 18th floor. We are in Wing 2 of the Boulevard in Ghatkopar. Being that high up gives you a decent view of Mumbai, though most of the time we are too busy to look out the window at the skyline. Engineering is a lot of looking at screens and double-checking measurements for hours. Flat 1806 is where we keep all our files and the specialized software we use for our projects. Ghatkopar is a crowded place, and the commute can be a real pain during peak hours in the morning. We try to start early to beat the worst of the traffic on the roads. It’s a modern building, but our office feels pretty lived-in and messy. There are stacks of paper everywhere and half-finished drawings on the tables that we need to get to. We don’t have a receptionist or anyone like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up to answer it. We spend our days solving problems and figuring out how different things fit together in a plan. It’s technical work, and it can be draining on the brain after a while. By the time evening rolls around, the city lights are coming on, and we’re usually just finishing up. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We’re just engineers doing our bit.
