We are over here on Main Carter Road in Borivali East, right across from that old chawl and Mamta Medico. Most days it’s just us figuring out the kitchen side of things and making sure everything runs okay. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and people constantly heading to the medical store, but we’ve gotten used to it. The space isn’t huge, but it works for what we do. We started this because we wanted a spot of our own in this part of Mumbai. It’s a lot of work, honestly. Some mornings the shutters are a bit sticky and the heat in the back can get to you during the summer months. We handle a lot of different food stuff and try to keep things organized despite the chaos. People drop by or call, and we just deal with things as they come. It’s not fancy at all. Just a regular bunch of people trying to keep the business going while the neighborhood changes around us. You can see the Ba Jri Bar from our door, which is a good landmark for people who can't find the address on their maps. We spend most of our time in the back, checking stocks or talking to the delivery guys who are always in a rush. It is what it is. We are just a local team doing our bit on this busy street.
