Uyoon Foundation

You can find us at Uyoon Foundation over on Yari Road in Andheri West. We are based in the Silver Streak building, P-9. It’s a pretty well-known spot because the Madina Masjid is right nearby. If you’ve ever been to this part of Andheri, you know it has its own vibe, very different from the rest of the city. We’ve been here for a bit now, just managing things from our small space. It’s not a large operation. We mostly just sit around the table and figure out who needs help with what. Some days it’s quiet, and other days it feels like everyone is calling at once. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We try to help out with local needs, mostly focusing on things that people usually overlook. It’s just honest work. We know the shopkeepers downstairs and the people who walk their dogs in the evenings. It feels like being part of a village inside the big city. Our office has a few old chairs and a lot of notebooks filled with names and numbers. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with PowerPoint slides or big meetings. We just talk, decide what to do, and then go out and do it. It’s simple that way, and it keeps us busy without all the extra stress of a polished office.
