Tree Cycle Foundation

Our place is up on the 17th floor of Whispering Height, Wing B. It’s right on Chincholi Bunder Road in the Mind Space area. Being up this high, we get a good breeze, which is nice because Mumbai can get so stuffy and humid. The name of the foundation tells you a bit about what we care about, but mostly we’re just people who like plants and the environment. We don’t have a garden here in the flat, obviously, since we’re in a tall building. We use the space as our main hub for planning and keeping our records in order. Downstairs, Mind Space is always buzzing with office workers and heavy traffic. It’s a bit of a contrast to our quiet little office up here. We aren’t a big corporate entity. We’re just a small team of friends who decided to make this official a while back. We spend our time organizing local events and trying to get more greenery into the city streets. It’s a lot of coordination with local groups and the municipality. Some days it feels like we’re just pushing paper and making calls, but then we get to go outside and actually do something. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a secretary. If you come by, you'll probably just see us sitting with our laptops. We like it this way. It’s practical and keeps our focus where it needs to be. We just do what we can.
