Our office is tucked away in Lane 3, over in Laxmi Nagar in Ghatkopar East. It’s just Room No. 19, so it isn't some massive corporate building you see in the movies, but it gets the job done for us. We’ve been handling accounting work here for a while now. Most days are spent looking over ledgers or sorting out tax papers for people in the neighborhood. Mumbai life is always moving fast, and Ghatkopar is no different. You step out for a tea break and the lane is busy with people going about their business. We keep our files organized as much as possible, though tax season always makes things a bit chaotic around the desk. It’s just how it goes in this profession. Someone might drop by with a query about their returns, and we sit down to figure it out together. The fan buzzes overhead while we tap away on the keyboards. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. It is just a local CA practice where we know our clients by name. Sometimes the monsoon makes the lane a bit messy, but we are always here at our desks. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We just keep our heads down and do the filing.
