The Rainbow Corner Early Learning Centre

The Rainbow Corner Early Learning Centre is tucked away in the Juhu Gulmohar society. If you’re around Vile Parle West, specifically the JVPD Scheme, you’ll find us on Gulmohar Road in Irla. It’s a pretty busy area with a lot of families. Our center is 2-36 in the building. It’s a place for young kids to spend their day, so as you can imagine, it’s rarely quiet. There’s always music playing or the sound of kids playing with blocks. We have a lot of colorful posters on the walls and toys scattered around. It isn't a stiff, formal school environment. We try to make it feel more like a home. The staff here are mostly local women who have been working with children for years. We get a lot of paint on our hands and glitter on the floor, but that’s part of the job. Parents stop by at the gate every morning to drop off their little ones and have a quick chat about how the night went. We’ve been part of this community for a while and we know the rhythms of Gulmohar Road. It’s a lot of energy and sometimes a bit of chaos, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just focus on making sure the kids are safe and having a decent time while they’re with us. It is a lot of work but seeing the kids happy makes it worth the effort.
