Mulund East is where you’ll find us, specifically at Shop Number 06 on L T Road. Swarupa Foodgarden Llp is what we call it, but to most people around here, we are just the food shop on the corner. L T Road gets really busy during the mornings and evenings, so there is always a bit of noise and people rushing past our door. We set up here because we like the neighborhood vibe of Mumbai-Mumbai City. The shop itself isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a few customers come in at once, but we manage. We aren’t some big corporate chain with a manual for everything. If a lightbulb goes out, one of us gets the ladder and fixes it. We handle the food ourselves, making sure things look okay before they go on the shelves. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, our backs usually ache from standing around. We don't spend money on big ads or social media influencers. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. The garden part of the name is because we like things fresh, though running a business in the middle of Mumbai means dealing with more concrete than soil most days. It’s just a small local spot trying to keep things moving and making sure the neighbors have what they need.
