Swaps Couture Private Limited

Our workshop is located in the Mittal Industrial Premises in Marol, which is part of the JB Nagar area. We are in Unit 160/6, and it’s a typical industrial estate setup. There are trucks coming in and out, and the sound of machinery is pretty much constant. It’s a bit of a trek to get here from AK Road, but it’s a solid place for a business like Swaps Couture. We do all our work right here in the unit. It is not a fancy boutique with velvet curtains; it is a place where people are actually cutting fabric and sewing. We have racks of clothes everywhere and the smell of steam from the irons. The lighting is bright and functional because we need to see what we are doing. Our team is small, and most of us have been working together for years. We eat lunch together and complain about the traffic on the way to the society. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't have a lot of time for meetings or fancy presentations. Most of the day is spent handling the materials and making sure the pieces look right. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by other people who are also just trying to make things and get them sold. It’s a gritty, real part of Mumbai, and it suits the way we work. We just focus on the couture and the daily grind.
