Stray Happy Animal Foundation

Our office is tucked away in Motilal Nagar over in Goregaon. If you come down M.G. Road, you’ll find us in Building Number 1, specifically in Room 3. Stray Happy Animal Foundation is basically a few of us who care about the dogs and cats on the street. It’s not a fancy clinic or a high-rise office. It’s a small room where we keep our supplies and do our planning. Goregaon is always busy, and there are always animals needing something, so we are rarely just sitting around. The room is usually a bit cluttered with bowls, some bags of food, and maybe some old newspapers. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write pretty speeches for us. We just see a problem with a stray and try to fix it. Sometimes it’s hard because there are so many of them and only a few of us. We know the shopkeepers nearby and they tell us when an animal is sick or hurt. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. The office has a bit of an old smell, like dust and pet food, but it’s our base. We don't spend money on fancy furniture because we’d rather use it for the animals. If you’re in the neighborhood, you might hear us talking about the latest rescue. We just want the animals in this part of Mumbai to have a slightly better time of it. We keep things simple here.
