Our office is a bit different because it’s actually a ground floor flat, G-1, in the Girnar Apartment society. We are located on Mandapeshwar Road in Borivali West, which is a fairly busy residential part of Mumbai. Sri Balaji Shelters has been in this spot for some time, and we like being on the ground floor because it’s easy for people to just stop by and say hello. Being in a CHS means we know all the neighbors, and there’s a real community feel to the place. We handle housing and shelter projects, so our desks are always covered in documents and society NOCs. It isn't a polished office with glass partitions; it’s more like a lived-in space where work actually happens. We have a few cupboards for our files and a small seating area for guests. Borivali West is a great area to be in, even if the commute can be a bit much during peak hours. We don't go in for any of that fancy promotional stuff. We just focus on helping people with their property needs and making sure the paperwork is in order. Most of our days are spent on the phone or meeting with people from the local area. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It’s honest work done by people who live right here in the city and know the streets.
