S.R.Batliboi & Asssiciates

We are over in the 400 056 area of Mumbai. It’s a well-known part of the city, and our office is right there on the road. The work we do is pretty much what you would expect from a firm like S.R.Batliboi & Asssiciates. We handle audits, some tax stuff, and general accounting. The office stays busy most of the time. There is always someone typing away or on the phone talking about some tax rule. We have a lot of books and manuals lying around because the laws keep changing all the time. It is a bit of a struggle to stay updated but we manage. The building is okay, and we have enough space for the staff. It’s not a very quiet place because there is always something going on. Clients come and go throughout the day. Some are happy, some are stressed about their taxes. We just take the documents they give us and try to make sense of them. I’ve noticed that people always seem to lose their passwords for the tax site, so we spend a lot of time resetting those. It’s these small things that take up most of our day. We don't have any fancy coffee machines, just the local chai that gets delivered in a kettle. It’s a basic office doing basic financial work. We just aim to get the filings done before the deadline hits and everyone panics.
