We operate out of Room 12A in the Shree Ambeshwar Chawl. It’s in the Trivedi Compound over in Kandarpada, Dahisar West. It’s a crowded area, but it’s home for the business. Being in a chawl means we are right in the middle of the community. We do construction work all over the suburbs. It’s a lot of manual labor and figuring out how to fit big equipment into small spaces. Our office isn't fancy at all; it’s basically just a room with a desk, some chairs, and a lot of folders. Most of the time, we are out on various sites anyway. We don't have a big staff, just a few reliable people who know how to handle a shovel and a level. Sometimes we take on repair jobs and other times we are working on something bigger. It’s hard to predict what the next month will look like. We’ve had times where everything goes wrong at once, but we just push through it. People around Dahisar know us by now. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth is usually how we get our next job. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep showing up and doing the work, one day at a time. The heat and the rain can be a problem, but we just deal with it like everyone else does.
