Our office is over in Viraj Tower, rooms 401 and 402, right near the Landmark Junction. If you know the Western Express Highway in Andheri East, you know how busy it gets around here. We’ve spent a lot of time in traffic just trying to get to our own sites. This construction business is a lot of back-and-forth between the office and wherever the cranes are currently standing. We aren't a massive corporate entity with thousands of employees. It’s a smaller group of us trying to manage the day-to-day chaos of building in Mumbai. Some days the paperwork piles up on the desks and other days we are out dealing with contractors. It’s rarely quiet. The location helps because we can get to most parts of the city, even if it takes an hour. We deal with concrete, steel, and a lot of permits. It’s not glamorous work, despite being in a tower. You spend most of your time worrying about supply chains and if the rain is going to stop the pouring. We’ve had our share of long nights. It’s just how it goes when you’re in construction. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. There’s always something that needs fixing or a plan that needs a quick change. We’re just here in Andheri, doing the work and trying to stay on schedule. We just keep our heads down and focus on the current project until it's finished.
