Down in Malad East, right near the Gokuldham Film City Road, you’ll find the Raheja Heights complex. We’re in Building F, specifically Flat No. 203. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but that’s just part of life here at Spaark Creations Studio Llp. Working out of a flat gives things a much more personal feel than some sterile office building. We have the kitchen nearby for tea and a living space that’s been taken over by desks and gear. Being in Dindoshi means we are right in the thick of things. There’s always noise from the street, and you can definitely feel the energy of Mumbai right outside the windows. It’s not always pretty, especially when the monsoon hits and everything gets a bit damp, but we make it work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a lobby or a receptionist. It’s just us, working on our creative projects and making sure we meet our deadlines. Sometimes the neighbors walk by and peek in, or we run into people at the gate. It’s a very local way to run a business. We like the fact that it feels like a home because, for many hours of the week, it basically is. We just focus on the work at hand and try to keep things moving forward without making a big fuss about it. We are just people doing our jobs in a space that fits us.
