Sood Charity Foundation

The office is at 405 and 406 in the Casa Blanca Apartment building. If you know Yamuna Nagar in Andheri West, you know how packed it gets around here. We are right across from Oakland Park. Sood Charity Foundation has been operating from these two rooms for some time. It is a lot of coming and going. People come in with questions, and we try to give them answers or at least point them the right way. The apartment itself is okay, a bit older but it works for what we need. Sometimes the lift takes forever, so some of us just take the stairs if we are not carrying too much. We have desks pushed together and a lot of chairs for visitors. It is not some polished corporate suite with glass walls. It is just a place where work gets done. Oshiwara is always noisy, so there is usually the sound of horns in the background while we talk. We keep a lot of files on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of space for all the paper. We just handle things as they come. It is a busy spot in Mumbai, and we are right in the middle of it. Most days we are just trying to keep up with the messages and the people stopping by. It gets a bit chaotic, but that is just how it is here. There is always someone dropping off a package or asking for help.
