We are over in the Bharat Diamond Bourse in BKC. Specifically, we are in G Block, BC2032, right opposite the Nabard Head Office. If you’ve ever been to the Bourse, you know how massive it is. It’s like a city within a city. Soni Gems and Jewellery LLP is just one small part of that huge complex. Security is very tight here, so we have to go through a lot of checks just to get to our desk every morning. It’s a very professional environment, mostly filled with people talking about carats and cuts. Our office is functional and clean, designed for work rather than showing off. We deal with gems and various jewelry items throughout the day. Because we are in Bandra East, it’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but it’s the place to be if you’re in this trade. There’s no street noise here, just the hum of air conditioners and the sound of people clicking their loupes. We don't really have walk-in customers like a mall shop. It’s mostly scheduled meetings and trade work. We keep our records straight and our stones organized. It’s a high-pressure place sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Bourse over the years. We just focus on our stones and let the rest of the world go by outside the gates.
