If you know Kurla West, you know how packed LBS Marg can get. We’re tucked away over here at 25ZA in the Nannibai Abdul chawl area. It’s a lively neighborhood, Naupada. SMR Padhy Enterprises Nidhi Limited is our small office where we handle the daily grind. It’s not a big corporate building. It’s more of a place where neighbors come in to chat about their savings. We have the usual files and a couple of desks. Sometimes it’s a bit cramped when too many people come in at once, especially in the mornings. Being near the chawl means we see the same faces every day. We know who is getting married and whose kids are starting school. We help people save their hard-earned money without making it complicated. No one here uses big fancy words. We just explain things in plain Marathi or Hindi, whatever works for the person sitting across from us. The LBS Marg traffic is always there in the background, but we’re used to it. We keep our doors open so people feel they can just walk in. It’s a hands-on job. We do the counting, the entries, and the talking ourselves. It’s just a group of us working to keep this small enterprise going. We don’t have any grand slogans or fancy websites. We just show up every day at the Naupada office and do the work that needs doing for the local folks who live around here. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a fan that works okay most of the time.
