There is always noise from the street and people moving about, which gives the office a bit of energy. Inside, we have our desks lined up in a way that allows us to chat while we work on our various skill-building programs. It’s not a polished corporate suite. We have stacks of files and a few plants that we occasionally remember to water. The building has been around for a while, and it has that classic Mumbai character. We spend our hours here trying to figure out the best ways to teach people new skills without making it too complicated. Sometimes the monsoon rains make it a bit of a challenge to get to the office, but we usually manage. Our team is a mix of people who just want to do good work. We don't use big fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just about helping people learn something they didn't know before. The tea stall downstairs is where we get most of our afternoon breaks. It’s a very grounded way of living and working in this big city. We just take it one day at a time, making sure our students get the attention they need.
