You can find us over at Room No.6 in the Shree Ganesh Society. It’s right on Gavdevi Road, near the Samajse area in Bhandup West. It’s a tight space, but it’s where we do all our planning. Mumbai is always crowded and noisy, and our neighborhood is no different. Shivkanti Construction started because we saw how much work was needed around here. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, it's just one of us sitting at the desk with a bunch of maps and blueprints spread out everywhere. We deal with all kinds of building projects, mostly around Mumbai City. The traffic makes it hard to get from one site to another, so we spend a lot of time on our bikes or in the rickshaw. We know the local shops where we get our sand and cement. Sometimes things don't go exactly as planned, like when the rain hits during the monsoon, but we just keep pushing through. We aren't some big firm from a skyscraper. We are just local people working in construction. We talk to the neighbors and try not to make too much noise, though that’s hard with hammers going. It's just a regular business. We focus on the work itself rather than talking about it too much. That’s how we’ve always done things here in Bhandup. We keep it simple and just get the job done right without a bunch of corporate talk.
