We started Shiva Sahodari Mutual Benefit Nidhilimited here in Jogeshwari West because people in our neighborhood needed a place to handle their money matters without going too far. You can find us at Navshakti Nagar, in the Chavan Chawl area right off the New Link Road. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. Most of us living nearby know how tricky it gets managing savings when life is so fast in Mumbai. We just handle the daily paperwork and keep things moving for the members. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a room where we sit and talk through the small savings plans. We’ve been around the Chawl for a bit now. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud, but that’s just how it is on New Link Road. We keep the books ready and try to help anyone who walks in with questions about their accounts. It’s mostly just us neighbors working together. No big corporate talks here, just plain counting and making sure everyone's contribution is noted down right in the registers. If you are walking past the Navshakti Nagar area, you’ll see our small board. We don't have a big team, just a few local folks who understand the struggles of managing a household budget. We do our work, drink some tea, and keep the accounts tidy every single day. We are just regular people helping other regular people save what they can for a rainy day.
