Shine On Social Welfare Foundation

You can find us in Ghatkopar West, specifically on the 3rd floor of the Laxmi Narayan Prasad Building. We’re right on 5th Road, directly across from the Hindi High School. It’s a pretty lively spot, especially when school lets out and the whole street fills up with kids and parents. Shine On Social Welfare Foundation has been in this building for a while. It’s an older place, and there isn't an elevator, so we get our daily exercise walking up to the third floor. The office itself is just a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of paper. We aren't a corporate office with glass walls; we’re more of a relaxed kind of place. Most of us who work here are locals, so we know the neighborhood well. We don’t use big fancy words to describe what we do. We just look at what needs to be fixed or who needs help and we try to manage it. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we’re scrambling to get things finished, but we stay at it. We like being in Ghatkopar because it feels like a real community. If you’re ever near the high school, you’ll probably see our building. We don’t have any flashy signs, just a small nameplate on the door. It’s a simple, honest setup where we do our best every day without any unnecessary corporate polish or marketing talk. We just want to do right by the local area.
