Shiksha Suraksha Foundation

We are located in Oberoi Park View, specifically in unit B/1308. If you know Kandivali East, you know the Thakur Village area is always buzzing with people. We are right near Thakur Cinema. It is a great spot to be because everyone passes through here eventually. Shiksha Suraksha Foundation is run by a small team from this apartment. We have got a decent view of the park, which is nice when things get stressful. We focus on safety and learning, mostly because we live here and see what is going on in the streets. It is not a corporate headquarters or anything like that. It’s a lived-in space where we keep our documents and have our weekly meetings. Thakur Village has changed quite a bit over the years, but it is still home for us. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay organized. Being near the cinema means there is always something happening outside the window. We started this foundation because we wanted to contribute something to the neighborhood. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big reception desk. It’s just us working out of the B wing. Most days are just spent responding to emails and talking to the people who live in the surrounding buildings. It is a practical way to spend our time. We appreciate being part of the Kandivali community and seeing the familiar faces every morning when we walk to the office.
