Sevalal Sevabhai Foundation

Sevalal Sevabhai Foundation operates out of House Number 67 A in the Khadakpada area. We are located along Gen A. K. Vaidya Marg in Goregaon East. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, as you can imagine. The house is tucked away a bit, so you have to look closely for the number. It’s an old building, but it’s sturdy and serves our purpose well. We don't have fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets. Mostly, it’s just us, some chairs, and a lot of dedication to what we do. The street outside is always full of people, vendors, and rickshaws zipping by. We’ve lived and worked in Goregaon for a long time, so we know the local problems quite well. People often stop by just to say hello or ask for a bit of advice. We try to keep things informal because that’s how we like it. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but that’s not really a priority right now. We focus more on the tasks at hand. It gets a bit cramped when we have visitors, but we always find space for everyone. Life in a Mumbai chawl or busy street teaches you how to be patient. We handle the foundation's work between our daily chores. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical space where people can find us.
