Self Employed- Practising C.A.

I've been working as a practicing C.A. here at B-403 Pleasant Park for a while now. It’s a quiet enough spot on Link Road in Malad West, though the traffic outside can get pretty loud during rush hour. My office isn't anything fancy, just a room filled with folders, a couple of computers, and a lot of calculators. Most days, it’s just me sitting here going through tax forms and audit reports. I’ve lived around Malad for years, so setting up shop in Pleasant Park made sense. It’s easy for people to find once they get off the main road. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, which is a pain, but usually, things run okay. I spend a lot of my time looking at spreadsheets and making sure all the numbers line up. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly. People stop by with their bags of receipts and we sit around the small desk to figure things out. I don’t have a big staff or a front desk person. If the phone rings, I’m the one picking it up. It gets busy around March, like it does for everyone in this line of work, and the lights stay on pretty late. I usually grab a quick tea from the stall downstairs when I need a break. It's just a regular local practice where the work gets done, one file at a time, right here in Mumbai.
