Sant Balumama Niradhar Foundation

We are located over in Chembur on 21st Road. Specifically, we're at Bhaweshwar Deep, Plot 11B. It’s a busy part of town with lots of movement, but our office in B-4 is a bit of a sanctuary for us. Sant Balumama Niradhar Foundation is really just about helping people who don't have much of a safety net in life. We see a lot of struggle in the city every day, and we wanted to create a place that addresses some of that pain. It’s not a glamorous job at all. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and trying to coordinate help for folks who reach out to us in desperate situations. We chose this spot because it's accessible for people in the local area. The building has been here for years, and we've become part of the local scenery over time. Sometimes the hallway is full of boxes or people waiting to talk to us about their problems. We try to treat everyone with respect, no matter what they're going through. It gets very tiring sometimes, but then you see someone get the help they need and it feels right again. We don't have a huge budget to work with. We make do with small donations and whatever time people are willing to give us. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We don't spend money on fancy signs. We'd rather the resources go where they are actually needed.
