Samipya Welfare Foundation

The Samipya Welfare Foundation office is on the fourth floor of the Satyadev building, specifically at Plot N.A/6 in the Veera Industrial Estate. It’s just off Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. Being in an industrial estate means there are always trucks and vans moving around, so it’s a bit of a noisy area. The building itself is older and has that industrial look to it. Our office is room 401. It’s a decent-sized space, but we have filled it up with a lot of furniture and boxes over the years. We’ve got some old posters on the walls and a few plants that we try to keep alive. The lift is a bit slow and creaky, so we usually wait a few minutes for it to arrive. It’s not a polished corporate office at all. We have people coming in and out all day, and there is usually some tea or snacks on the table. We work on various things from this location. Andheri West is a very active part of Mumbai, so there is always something going on nearby. We like being here because it’s central for us. Most of the people who help us live nearby, so it’s an easy commute. We just do our work without any fuss or big announcements. It's a practical setup for the kind of stuff we do every day. We just keep our heads down and get through the paperwork.
